I was tagged!!! Favorite Summer Memories!!

I was tagged by JMW.... You know her blog is fabulous!!! I then realized that I was originally tagged by The Entertaining House....her blog is fabulous..... then my blonde moments made me think - I think I was tagged for the same thing by the MRS. (One Fabulous MOM).......her blog is fabulous and she was the creator of this wonderful post!!!
Then I am reading her post and truly think that we are sisters from another mother....as I share in her favorite things!!

Favorite Summer Cocktail......... This summer it was the Mojito. I am crazy for fresh mint leaves!!! Usually it is the Patron Margarita on the rocks- no salt..... fresh limes please!!!

Favorite Summer Movie........ Grease was my favorite summer movie for most my life. I saw it the day it came out ....for my birthday! I think I was eight? So that is a must!! I love to see Blue Crush.... it reminds me of my many summers in Hawaii. Some my say Cheesey movie...but the islands are the best!!! To date my favorite summer must is Something's Gotta Give.
It is like the Family Stone..... we start watching in October and it is our Family Christmas movie!!!

Favorite Summer Song........Summertime (1957 Version) done by the fabulous Ella Fitzgerald. However.. the Sam Cooke version is the one I remember listening too as a child. If that doesn't make you want to be at the beach with your toes in the sand and a cocktail in the hand.... I don't know what does!!!

Favorite Summer Time Outfit....... I live it everyday.... Lilly Pulitzer or White Dry Cleaned Jeans and a monogrammed polo. Of course pearls around the neck and Steve Bonnano's on the feet!!!

Favorite Summer Reading.......... You know I am a Town & Country girl and my summer reading list is theirs! Each summer they guide me to what I need to be reading!!! Geek Alert - I totally write down the books I need to read and cross them off as I go!!! Social Climbers is a must for anyone who has not read it....

Favorite Summer Moment......... Summer vacations with my family. I summered each summer with my grandparents in Hawaii.... those memories are priceless. I am hoping our girls will cherish the memories that we are making each summer.
WORK HARD-PLAY HARD!!!

I now tag these following fabulous blogs.......I hope I don't tag anyone already tagged..as I am a little late on this!!!

* Queen Bee & Her Boys
* Dee's Aventure's
* Pretty In Pink

Big Papa!!!

Ok...tonight is Atlanta Housewives!! I just found out who Big Papa was. Wow is his home off the charts. If you have not seen it - you have to check it out. It puts the Spelling Manor a run for it's money. I wonder if we will ever see Big Papa on the show? The wife seems so nice and sweet. Bless her heart! Ok - today was the first day that both girls were healthy and attending a whole day of school. I am beyond proud of them and miss them terribly. I must say it was so nice to be able to cook dinner - clean the house and have all organized for our evening routine. Have a fabulous day!!!!

LOVE,LOVE,LOVE...The September issue of Vogue!!

As summer comes to an end, Fashion Week is around the corner. What girl does not await the issue of September's Vogue? I feel in love with Vogue at a very young age and all Vogueies.... know September is the BEST. We'll I am over the moon awaiting the movie....
THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE!! This is going to be a fabulous movie..even if it is bad... who won't eat up the images of that fantastic fashion. I adore the Anna Wintour hair-cut, I have sported it once or twice. Hubbie is not such a fan of this cut and dreads when I feel the need to cut it in this style. It so reminds me of my younger years. Are you as equally excited about this movie? Are you awaiting the September issue of Vogue? Have you ever sported this hair cut?? Who's hair do you think is more flattering... Anna or Ricki??

Julie & Julia

I loved, loved, loved the book. I read it the first week it came out. Anything to do with cooking.. it is my passion. I hope to go attend culinary school one day... it is on my bucket list. So I can not wait to see this movie. Meryl Streep is just beyond fabulous. Does it get any better?? We will being doing the Zoo today and then hitting the movies. Little Eloise E & Eloise G are pretty excited about seeing it...they love Mama Mia. Do you think it is ok for four year olds? Is anyone else going to see this?
OK - made it through the Housewives with out wine...but are they not one big HUGE HOT MESS. Boy- could you write this stuff? Life is way to short to be that self-centered...what do you think about them? It is like an addiction. I watch with my mouth dropped in shock and can not seem to change the channel. Had a cookie,two poached eggs and black coffee... here it goes... another day of cookies! Minus butter, cream and wine... my favorite things!!

My first DIET....

Ok... I have to tell you. I am 5 3 and always weigh in at 105- 110. I love love love to eat and drink. Living life to the fullest... I will eat anything at any time of the day. I have been known to never worry about my weight..as I run and do Yoga. Let's face it I have been blessed....Worrying about food.. no way.... WELLLLLL turning 38 and twins has changed everything. This summer - I did my usual traveling, eating, drinking and being merry. Weighing in at 121.5 - I have gone up two bra sizes and look like there is a baby in my belly. So this leads me to my new adventure. The Smart for Life -Cookie Diet. I have had numerous friends do it. Has anyone done it? The cookies are organic. I just have to eat six of them and then dinner. Minus my usual "lemon" water and wine. No natural sugar- no lemons!
Two weeks- how hard can this be? So here it goes, any suggestions???

Gracious & Grateful

We are back from our trip and we had a fabulous time. Hoping everyone is enjoying the last days of summer. This leads me to my story...... You know when you are a resort or club pool there are friendly unspoken rules. Especially when you have little ones.
  1. Don't take other children's toys.
  2. Don't pooh in the pool!
  3. Don't take children's rafts that don't belong to you.
OK.... Someone had their five year old take a pooh in the pool!! The pool had to be shut down. WTH!! One day we where playing at the pool and another little girl was taking all our pool toys. My little ladies are four and really are not into sharing with strangers that take their stuff. Eloise E kept going up to the little girl..."May I have my turtle back".... this went on forever. At one point Eloise E came to me in tears. The Mom was like CLUELESS. Do you not tell your little ones not to touch stuff that does not belong to them...HELLO!
The best was when we went to the DIVE-IN (Nemo was the movie of the evening).
I- of course brought my own(Lobster) rafts for my girls. The resort supplied rafts that were tubes and of course ran out. I had numerous parents come up to ask if they could have my rafts? The girls were swimming around in the pool..waiting for the movie to start. Why would anyone want to take a four year olds raft for their older children? WTH.... The best was when the parents then...sent their kids to ask for the rafts. I had a five year old tell me off... insisting that I give her the rafts. It was clear that they were not provided...as they were the only lobster rafts. I truly was in shock.
My conclusion to all this- WTH? Have you ever had any such experience?
